EYELASH EXTENSIONS

AFTER CARE

Now that you have your beautiful extensions, you will need to follow some simple aftercare rules to keep them looking their best.

  • Be gentle. Do not rub or pull on your eyelash extensions.

  • Keep all oil based products away from the eyes and remember that everything on your face will travel to the eye area.

  • Oil WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have premature lash extension loss

  • Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers, rubbing gently down the lashes

  • We recommend The Lashe Mascara as it is designed to be worn with eyelash extensions and can be removed easily

  • Do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, call us for an appointment

  • Wash your lashes daily.  If you wash them, you will wear them longer. Cleansing daily will help remove oils.

  • Brushing solves most problems. Try brushing the lashes gently if you notice something amiss

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

AFTER CARE

  • Remain out of the sun for the duration of the treatment protocol and wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or greater).

  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, massages, etc., the first 2 days post-treatment.

  • Acne patients may return to regular medical skincare regime1–2 days post-treatment.

  • Blisters or ulcerated skin can be treated with prescribed antibiotic ointment.

  • Keep scabs soft with lubricating ointment and avoid picking or scrubbing them off. Allow for natural exfoliation to occur.

  • Shave the treatment area immediately prior to next treatment.

  • Do not leave stubble or hairs on the surface of the skin

VIVA

AFTER CARE

Day 1-5:

The healing time for any given treatment varies between different clients. The

following represents the general recovery phases you might expect. Individual

clients may experience variations from this course.

Swelling/Discomfort/Redness:

  • Swelling of your wrinkles occurs immediately.

  • Significant swelling and redness of the treated areas and untreated parts may occur following your procedure and will be maximal at 24–48 hours.

  • To minimize swelling, keep your head elevated.

  • It is not uncommon for clients to have their under eye area swollen for the first 1 to 2 days, but this swelling will subside. There will be redness and very minimal warm emanating from the area for the first 24 hours (feels like a mild sunburn).

  • You should notify us if you experience pain that is severe or excessive, as this is unusual.

  • Tiny scabs will usually form 24–72 hours post-treatment and may remain for several days. The scabs should not be touched or scratched, even if they itch, and should be allowed to shed off naturally.

  • Begin using sunscreen (SPF 30 or greater) on treated area 24–48 hours post procedure if skin has fully healed

AFTER CARE

WAXING

AFTER CARE

  • Moisturize the waxed area regularly, preferably with a cream containing antiseptic properties such as tea tree oil, aloe vera, & witchhazel, which also helps in alleviating irritation.

  • Ingrown hairs are often caused by dry or flaky skin which trap the hairs and prevents them from growing through.

  • Avoid using creams that contain heavy perfumes or made with synthetic ingredients. Witchhazel (without alcohol) is excellent to apply after a wax, as it can help soothe irritated skin, and help prevent breakouts due to it’s antiseptic properties.

  • Avoid sun bathing, using tanning beds (and any other exposure to UV light), extreme heat (including hot baths, saunas, steam rooms) for 48 hours after you have been waxed.

  • Try to avoid any activity, such as exercising, for 24 hours, as sweat on freshly waxed skin can cause a rash or breakouts. Other activities to avoid immediately after a wax would be massages, swimming, or wearing very tight clothing.
